March 16 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm GMTFree
A gathering of those interested in Fresh Ways of engaging with our communities, and mission, from our Methodist buildings. This is a peer led group of those looking to expand the mission, evangelism and serving of their home church congregations. You dont have to be a minister, or paid lay employee, just someone who has a passion to reach people for the gospel, and welcome them into our church family.
When COVID is over, we aim to visit different churches, ideally drawing on our own groups’ resources, but also on those we have come across as exemplars of doing things differently, and fruitfully. We also want to encourage people and seed ideas, by visiting their context, and sharing our own reactions, insights and ideas from our experiences.
For the first few months of 2022, we are re- jigging what we do on the 3rd Wednesday campfire session.
We’re going to experiment with offering a workshopping missional ideas opportunity… so if you have an idea that you’d appreciate some peer coaching/ consulting (chatting through) then this is the session for you! This is open to anyone, whether you have an idea to discuss, or want to help others develop their ideas.
Let us know in advance you have a dream or idea you’d like to bring and we can workshop it together.
Online and In Person
We plan to meet physically around Yorkshire, during the lighter months, but also meet virtually, as many of us have family ties and responsibilities. The zoom link we’ll use is below, which is a default, but look out for specific locations as we evolve a programme.
We will look at and share books, videos, resources that we have found helpful, inspiring or useful.
Looking after one another
We hope to pastorally support one another, as we know that for every fruitful project there is the failure, and we can help each other learn from these, and regroup, as well as being a shoulder to cry on and lament for a while.
This group altemates with the Potting Shed – Progagator Groups, which run in the intervening months, and focus on expressions of church outside the buildings and traditional structures. You may wish to explore both.
Our dates for the year are Oct 20th, Dec 15th (Joint with Potting Shed), 19th Jan 2022, 16th Mar, 18th May,20th Jul (Joint with Potting Shed)
